When his career does come to an end, there?s no question that Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett will go down as one of the greatest players of all time considering he?s displayed Hall of Fame type numbers throughout his career. However, with the All-Star game set to take place this weekend, it appears Garnett could possibly call it a career after the 2012-13 season.
Garnett recently hinted about the possibility of retirement following the Celtics win over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday by saying this would be his last All-Star Game?which has taken the NBA rumors mill by storm. The future Hall of Famer will be making his 15th appearance in the All-Star Game this weekend and at 36-years-old?it should be no surprise that he?s thinking about calling it a career.
Over the years, Garnett has proven to be one of the top forwards in the game and always seems to be on a level of his own when it comes to opponents trying to contain him. Ever since he joined the league back in 1995, Garnett has stood out from the rest of the players in the league as he?s always been known as one of the top competitors over the last 17 years.
Obviously, it would be nice to see Garnett go out on top if Boston could figure out a way to provide him with another championship, but it certainly won?t be easy considering Rajon Rondo is out for the season. Still, the Celtics have been one of the hottest teams over the last couple of weeks?so anything is possible.
